Size Guide

The Wonder Bread Jacket is cut to standard US sizing and runs true to the measurements below. Measure yourself before ordering rather than going by the size you usually buy — buyers of this style regularly find they need one size down from their habitual pick.

Men's sizing

These are body measurements, not jacket measurements. Room for movement and light layering is already built into the cut, so measure your body and match it to the chart. Do not add inches yourself.

Size US / UK Chest Waist Sleeve
XS 34 34–35 in (86–89 cm) 30–31 in (76–79 cm) 25 in (63.5 cm)
S 36 36–37 in (91–94 cm) 32–33 in (81–84 cm) 25.5 in (65 cm)
M 38 38–39 in (97–99 cm) 34–35 in (86–89 cm) 25.5 in (65 cm)
L 40 40–41 in (102–104 cm) 36–37 in (91–94 cm) 26 in (66 cm)
XL 42 42–43 in (107–109 cm) 38–39 in (97–99 cm) 26.5 in (67 cm)

Women's sizing

The jacket is cut on a men's block. If you'd prefer a closer fit, size down one; for a relaxed, oversized look typical of racing jackets, order your normal size.

How to measure

Use a soft measuring tape and wear a light shirt — not a jumper or hoodie. Keep the tape snug but not tight, and stand relaxed rather than holding your chest out.

  • Chest / bust — wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the armpits and across the shoulder blades, keeping it parallel to the floor.
  • Waist — measure around your natural waistline, roughly an inch above the navel. Don't pull the tape in.
  • Hips — measure around the fullest part of your seat, feet together.
  • Sleeve — from the edge of your shoulder, down a slightly bent arm, ending at the wrist bone.
  • Shoulder — from the outer edge of one shoulder, straight across your back, to the outer edge of the other.

Between two sizes?

Size up. The faux leather has very little give compared to a knit or a softshell, so a jacket that's tight in the chest on day one will still be tight in a month. Sizing up also leaves room for a hoodie or sweatshirt underneath, which matters if you're wearing it outdoors in October.

How this jacket fits

  • Cut: regular fit through the body, in the boxy style of a period racing jacket rather than a slim modern biker cut.
  • Length: hits at the waist, finishing with a snap-tab belt at the hem.
  • Collar and cuffs: snap-tab collar and snap cuffs, so there's some adjustment at the wrist.
  • Shell: faux leather with a viscose lining — light, and warm enough for autumn evenings without being a winter coat.

All measurements are approximate. Because each jacket is finished by hand, allow up to half an inch of variation.
